Quick to mature, dwarf and compact, producing crisp, sweet, medium-sized hearts with few outside leaves. Resistant to root aphid. Suited to sowing March-July outdoors, and also good under cloches. - Culture: Sow little and often to ensure a continuous supply. Grow in a rich soil and water well in dry periods. Sow outdoors at fortnightly intervals from March to July, and in September sow varieties which stand through winter to head the following spring. (10-14 weeks maturity.)
